Saber Interactive has released Update 7.2 for RoadCraft, a patch focused on stabilizing multiplayer sessions and correcting persistent errors in road construction and AI traffic. The update targets specific pain points for simulation users, most notably the disappearance of road assets for clients joining public games and desynchronization issues on maps with extensive terraforming. By addressing these core stability problems, the patch aims to restore reliability for players who rely on co-op play for large-scale infrastructure projects.

The most significant changes in this release concern the integrity of shared game states. Previously, players joining public lobbies could experience missing roads, while hosts with large terraforming saves often suffered from desync issues. The 7.2 patch explicitly states that roads no longer disappear for clients after joining public games and that desync issues when joining hosts with large terraforming saves have been fixed. Additionally, objectives and rewards now synchronize correctly between host and client, ensuring that progress is accurately reflected for all participants in a session. This is a critical fix for collaborative play, where inconsistent state data can disrupt workflow and cause frustration.

Beyond synchronization, the patch introduces numerous improvements to the Road Planning system and the AI that utilizes it. AI vehicles previously exhibited erratic behavior, including getting stuck on bridges after route restarts or spawning stuck near bridges after a route reset. These issues have been resolved, and AI trucks no longer restart routes prematurely when points are placed on bridges. The patch also improves the behavior of AI route checkpoints and bridge markers, contributing to smoother traffic flow in simulation scenarios. For players using construction vehicles, the asphalt paver now compacts wet asphalt correctly, and roller and paver vehicles behave consistently during construction. This consistency is vital for users who rely on realistic simulation mechanics for their road-building projects.

The update also addresses several performance and stability issues. Texture streaming problems that occurred after enabling DLSS on GPUs with 6GB VRAM have been fixed, which should benefit players using newer graphics settings on mid-range hardware. General build stability has been improved across all platforms, reducing the likelihood of crashes or unexpected behavior during gameplay. Visual updates include corrected logo color display on several vehicles and updated VFX for certain buildings. On Map 12 (Autumn Collapse), collision issues with buildings have been fixed, and fence collision has been adjusted to allow toy car progression, ensuring that specific map elements function as intended.

Progression and save system fixes are also included in this patch. Sand quarries are no longer free, which may affect resource management strategies in the game. Cargo positions now save correctly after re-entering Map 8 (Washout), and the toy truck progression counter has been fixed. The save system no longer hangs after bridge deployment, a potential issue that could have prevented players from saving their progress. Road rewards now properly grant completion credit, ensuring that players receive the intended benefits for finishing road projects. These fixes contribute to a more stable and predictable progression experience.

For controller users, the patch adds new controller scheme images and fixes camera jerking at certain settings. Camera movement is restored after route completion or failure, addressing a usability issue that could hinder navigation. The “Delete Last Point” button is now available on gamepad in route menus, improving accessibility for players who prefer controller input. In the UI and UX category, a user warning has been added if the 4K DLC is not updated, and Codex tutorial screenshots now display correct maps and scaling. The progress bar now matches the completed map count, and the “Recall Vehicles” mechanic works correctly with HUD options. Joining modded lobbies now requires proper PROS account linking, which may impact players using mods in multiplayer environments.

Localization updates have been made to correct vehicle model names across multiple languages, including Italian, German, Polish, Catalan, Czech, Korean, and Turkish. These changes ensure that the game’s interface and content are accurately represented for a broader audience. The patch notes indicate that these fixes and improvements are part of a broader effort to enhance the stability and usability of RoadCraft for its player base.

Players are advised to update to version 7.2 to benefit from these fixes. The patch addresses a wide range of issues, from critical multiplayer desyncs to minor UI and localization errors. By resolving these problems, Saber Interactive aims to provide a more stable and enjoyable experience for simulation users who engage in road construction and traffic management within the game.
