Image Policy

Every public image on Real Sim has a rights record. We would rather run an original graphic than an image of unknown provenance.
Priority order
In order: official press assets with editorial permission, explicitly permitted manufacturer assets, licensed commercial stock, public domain, compatible Creative Commons, original Real Sim graphics, and finally clearly labelled AI editorial illustration.
What we reject
Unknown-rights images, search-result images, another publication's images, social images without permission, watermarked images, and any licence that forbids the commercial editorial use or the crop we need.
Rights ledger
Each asset record stores owner, licence type and URL, permission scope, commercial and editorial use flags, modification permission, attribution, retrieval time, a hash and AI status. Editorial use must be permitted.
