GIANTS Software has made the Pumps N’ Hoses Pack available for Farming Simulator 25. Developed by Creative Mesh, the free update expands the game’s agricultural resource management with three new gameplay systems: umbilical systems, manure separation, and configurable biogas plants. The release coincides with the launch of Patch 1.23.0.0, which ensures compatibility with the new content and addresses several technical issues.

The pack is designed to give players more flexibility in how they handle manure, fertilize fields, and produce energy on their virtual farms. By adding these distinct systems, the update moves beyond traditional hauling methods, allowing for more complex and efficient farm operations.

Umbilical Systems for Field Fertilization

One of the primary additions is the umbilical system. This feature allows players to connect and combine hoses around their farm layout to supply ultra-light drag hose injectors directly in the field. This approach offers an alternative to hauling conventional slurry tankers across fields, potentially reducing the logistical complexity of fertilization. The system enables players to set up a network of hoses that delivers liquid fertilizer precisely where it is needed, integrating with the existing farm infrastructure.

Manure Separation and Storage

The second system focuses on manure separation. Players can now separate manure into liquid and solid components. This process adds a new step to resource management, providing greater flexibility in how materials are stored and applied. By dividing manure into different states, players have more options for organizing their operations and making efficient use of the resources already available on their farms. This separation allows for targeted application methods that may suit different field conditions or crop requirements.

Configurable Biogas Plants

The third major addition is the ability to configure biogas plants. Previously, biogas production may have relied on predefined setups. With this update, players can build their biogas facilities according to the specific requirements of their farm. They can combine different components to create a high-performing facility that fits their existing infrastructure and operational style. This customization allows for a more tailored approach to energy production, aligning with the player’s broader farm management strategy.

New Equipment from Specialist Brands

To support these new systems, the pack includes more than 40 new machines, tools, buildings, and other items. More than 30 of these items come from four specialist brands: Schouten, Stallkamp, BvL, and 2G Energy. Schouten is identified as a Dutch manufacturer, Stallkamp as a German steel storage specialist, and BvL as a biogas feeding technology manufacturer. The inclusion of these brands adds a layer of realism and variety to the equipment available for the new gameplay systems.

Patch 1.23.0.0 Improvements

Alongside the content pack, Patch 1.23.0.0 has been released to guarantee compatibility. The patch includes several specific improvements and fixes:

  • Improved steering behavior of the CLAAS Xerion 12.
  • Fixed an issue on Steam where disabling XeSS Frame Generation could cause the game to crash.
  • Fixed Precision Farming yield calculations when harvesting multiple crop types.
  • Added Lizard destinationFarm tires.
  • Added Michelin XLD 65 tires.

These technical updates address specific user-reported issues and enhance the overall stability and functionality of the game. The fix for the XeSS Frame Generation crash is particularly relevant for players using this performance feature on Steam. The correction to Precision Farming yield calculations ensures more accurate data when managing diverse crop types.

Availability and Context

The Pumps N’ Hoses Pack is available now as a free addition for the Farming Simulator 25 community. The release comes as the game has recently reached five million players. The update is designed to be accessible to existing players, adding depth to the simulation without requiring a separate purchase. Players can now integrate these new systems into their existing farms, utilizing the new equipment to optimize their resource management and energy production strategies.
