Eagle Dynamics has released DCS World 2.9.30.28536, with changes spanning AI behaviour, mission tools, data cartridges and aircraft systems. The official changelog also includes tribute liveries for the F-16C and F/A-18C, available through Instant Action.
For AI aircraft, a runway-lineup option now commands group takeoffs. Other fixes address interrupted semi-active radar missile guidance when returning to base, carrier landing problems, crosswind behaviour and runway collisions. The notes identify specific issues rather than claim that every AI limitation has been resolved.
Ground-unit changes include a fix for SAM target acquisition below the horizon and revised armour for several vehicles. The update also reduces the effectiveness of 100–125 mm high-explosive fragmentation shells against heavily armoured targets. These are simulation changes, not real-world training guidance.
Data-transfer-cartridge corrections cover threat information and radar-warning indications, including AH-64-related entries. Voice-chat fixes address dynamic-radio numbering and control logic; Eagle Dynamics asks users to check the corresponding hotkeys in the VoiceChat controls panel.
Mission Editor work includes corrections to late-activated trains on the F10 map, dynamic templates with unlimited aircraft and zero counts, and other reported display issues. New export parameters identify a multicrew seat, time acceleration and multiplayer or replay state, with the documented export permissions still applying.
The MiG-29A receives Indian Air Force liveries and additional Instant Action missions for Afghanistan, Syria and the Persian Gulf. F-16C fixes include a navigation-position issue, while the F/A-18C receives a correction for afterburner engagement following the catapult-launch salute.
This summary covers selected changes from the release. Module owners and mission builders should consult the complete changelog for the items affecting their aircraft, scripting or mission setup before judging the update’s effect on an existing scenario.
