SimRail’s September 30 update adds a 45-kilometre Kutno–Łowicz section to the Łódź North Region DLC. The official release notes say existing owners of that DLC receive the route at no additional cost, connecting the region’s network without the previous gap.
The update also adds Jackowice, including Żychlin, and Stara Wieś signal boxes. Control of Łódź Żabieniec moves to Zgierz, while routes toward Jackowice from Łowicz Główny now depend on line-block status. A new setting lets dispatchers hide curtains in signal boxes.
Multiplayer fixes address an entry-route problem at Głowno when a particular track was occupied, interlocking-server stutter during route release, and AI trains using the left-hand track between Bełchów and Łowicz Główny. These corrections concern the simulator’s dispatching behaviour.
Rolling-stock changes include revised E186 cruise-control behaviour, a train-length counter and a new diagnostic-screen layout. CD163 receives labels, brake and regime-setting corrections, cruise-control work and a starting-sequence sound. Other fixes affect EU07 headlight switching, Dragon2 temperature indications and several vehicles’ appearance.
New keybinds cover timetable and desk lights, cylinder cocks, axle-load compensation, the train-length counter and dynamic braking. The update also adds slope indicators to the HUD and moves the departure whistle to the scheduled departure time.
Single-player additions include BR285 availability in existing scenarios and a new Kutno–Skierniewice cargo scenario. The notes list timetable and signal corrections in several other scenarios, alongside extensive scenery work across the base game and DLC areas.
The new route is included for owners of the named expansion; the announcement does not make the entire DLC free. Players should check the complete release notes for changes to achievements, dispatcher locations and the scenarios they use, especially where a station’s control responsibility has moved.
